Hi Everyone!
I am new to the forum and wanted to say hi to everyone. I looked around the web and when I found this place I decided I wanted to stop here for a while.
I have been trying to decide which weapon I wanted for personal protection and I have decided on the XD. I have read the reviews and most of the articles and this seems to be a good choice..based on what the users say. I am from south Alabama and I have a concealed carry permit. I am also a 1991 Gulf War Vet. I favor the 45ACP because of my Military experience and this is my choice for the XD. One of the main things I wanted on a pistol was a thumb safety. Now that the XD has this as a choice I am getting one soon. Glad to be a part of a great forum! Mike (watch1) |

Welcome to the forum from UT! The XD 45 is a great choice. I have carried my XD45 Service model for over a year now and it works great. I prefer the Inside-the-Waist band (IWB) holsters.
