New and just bught the XDm .40
Hello everyone, I'm new and live in western Washington. I just bought the new XDm .40 today but have to wait 5 days to pick it up as I have not received my concealed weapons permit yet.

I had a REALLY hard time choosing between the .45 compact 4" barrel and this model, I went in thinking I was going to by the .45 but they had the XDm for just about 60 dollars more and its normally about 200 more everywhere else I have looked so that was 1 of the reasons I chose to go with it. I'm pretty sure I will love it, I have never shot an XD before but have heard nothing but good stuff about them plus all the safety features helped convince my wife to let me get one. Sitting here thinking about it now though I wonder how hard it would be to conceal this vs the .45 compact with a 4" barrel. Does anyone else carry this model?

Also anyone from the northern Seattle area know of any good ranges to go to besides the Kenmore range?

Thanks, yeah its only been a few hours and seems like a whole month already lol. Anyone have any recommendations on holsters for this gun?
