Picked up my first XD!
Hey guys, just picked up my first XD and it's also my first firearm that I've owned. I've spent some range time with 92fs's, USP's, 1911's and Sig's but I decided to go with the XD as I feel it's a great beginner gun.
I also had some questions about some things that I'd like to look into down the line. 1. Where can I go (Bay Area, Ca) to have parts mirror polished if I chose to, or is there anyone reputable on the boards that can have this done for me. 2. I searched and found that .40 and .357 service XD's can have a 9mm barrel dropped in, and from that I assume that it can also go the other way, and you can easily drop in a .40 or .357 barrel into an XD original made as a 9mm? 3. Any particular ammo that the 9mm service XD's like/dislike? Lubricants? 4. It was used with about 1500-2000 rounds through it from the previous owner, is there anything I should look at and maybe repair? Thanks in advance guys, I'll be stickin around Sorry for the horrible cell phone pictures, I let my friend borrow my digicam. 9mm ![]() Last edited by Ghostface408 : 07-08-2008 at 10:59 PM. |
