Howdy from Plano TX
Just wanted to say "hey" to everyone. I just purchased my first handgun a few weeks ago at the Dallas Gun & knife show. I went with the XD9, the OD color. Needless to say I love this gun. I'm already thinking about which XD I will get next (don't tell my wife)...
I have been reading around on here a bit. I'm going to looking into getting my CHL before too long, and might check into reloading. This looks like a great place to get some info on those. See you around Jeff |

Congrats on the XD. If you are like most of us, you won't be able to stop at one!
Welcome from south Florida.

Welcome
Welcome from Fort Worth! I've been real busy over the last year, and haven't had much leisure time for getting on the forum much (or shooting) - but that is about to change.
I've got a XD9 SC, and it's really a great handgun, one of the best I have ever owned. First polymer pistol I was ever able to bring myself to buy - and I am very glad I did it. I received my CHL a year ago - quite the process (compared to other states I have lived in, where you just basically request it and are given the CHL) - but definitely worthwhile here in DFW. I actually took my CHL class and test at the Bullet Trap in Plano, and thought they did a great job. I would recommend them based on my experience. Since moving to DFW a few years ago, I have yet to attend a local gun show. Would you mind reporting on the price you were able to get on it (I am actually in the market for another XD again). -OldMike |

about the price..
I paid $419 plus tax for it. There was another table that had it for $399, but I forgot my license at home (who the hell goes to a gun show to buy a gun, AND FORGETS HIS ID?)
Once the lady found out I didn't have ID, she wouldn't/couldn't see me the gun. So my wife went to another table and bought it for me. She loves me Jeff
