New XD45 owner

After discovering the XD pistols when they first came out under Springfield Armory I finally have one of my own. From what I gathered from the XD45 section I might have some fine tuning to do. (ejector rod, mag springs...) This'll be the only defensive firearms I own for a long time and that's exactly why I bought it. With our tested and proven guard dog gone, it's up to us humans to pick up the slack.

If I can ever find an XD Armorer's course I want to take it. I want to be able to fix anything that might go wrong with my gun myself.

Welcome from Florida! Nice choice in weapon! I have the XD45 myself. Love it.

I think you will find that XD armorers course on a DVD set available at this link to Pistol Gear

Welcome. Buy lots of ammo and practice until it just feels natural. The XD's are fun to shoot.
