Hi from Utah
Hi everybody,
I really like this forum I've been reading it for a little while now and finally took the time to join. I'm in Utah, where I spend most of my time on campus at the U of U (where CFP holders CAN carry legally!). I think I'll be getting my CFP in about two weeks.
I work in a neuroscience lab, and a few of the people I work with are rabidly anti-gun Europeans. Fortunately since it is Utah there are also some avid hunters and firearm owners. We're just careful when we talk about it.
I recently bought my first handgun, an XD40sc, and I love shooting it. I Have bought a few accessories based on recommendations from forum members here, so thanks for the advice.

Welcome from Cottonwood Heights, UT. If you have not already applied for your permit, I would do so soon. The state took my money, and couple other people who I went through the class with, on April 2nd and I still haven't seen anything. Congrats on the XD-40SC, just got one myself.
