New from the Ozarks of Arkansas
I just ordered my first Springfield XD.45 Compact, joined this forum, and will be taking my CCW test this weekend. While I am new to the XD .45 I’m not new to handguns or shooting at 58 year old. My favorite caliber has always been the .45 ACP because my grandfather had an old 1911 from WW I and that is the gun I learned to shoot as a child. As a 2Lt. in the Army during the Vietnam years I qualified with the Colt 1911, M-14, M-21 and M-16 at Expert rating. I hope to learn from those here with experience on this excellent firearm, the ins and outs to speed my transition and subsequent knowledge of the abilities of both this firearm and my use of it.
