ky. shooter
What's up folks, don't know why I'm introducing myself. same story. Been a colt 1991 A1 owner for fifteen years. Though there was "no other" worthy .45. Never had an interest in glocks whatsoever. I read a LOT, pistols mags, combat arms, internet reviews on home defense and carry guns. I ran across the xd .45 acp through the hundreds of articles I read about it. Lots of enthusiasm in all corners of the world. Never honestly read a negative article about this firearm. the torture test sold me. As of May 6th, 2008, I am the proud owner of an all black xd .45 compact. I plan to carry this weapon as well. Have a s/w 642 I bought for my wife, and had planned to protect us when out on the town with it, but after some time at the range, have discovered that my accuracy is horrific even at just 7-10 meters. trigger pull a bit much. My new xd is as accurate as I'll ever need, super easy to break down, seems solidly built and just feels better than any glock the local police have let me look at/dry shoot. Hope to continue reading only good things...seems the ho.ly grail

Welcome! I love my XD45. It is my primary carry. I practice at the range at least weekly...it sure makes a difference in an my shot proficiency. Hope you enjoy your new XD.
