Hello! Happy 2 XD Owner
Happy Mother's Day to ME!
![]() My son has a habit of hosing me on holidays like Christmas, my birthday, Mother's day, etc., so I decided to treat myself this year. I have been wanting a Springfield sub-compact .40 for awhile. I currently carry an XD compact .45, which I adore and shoot well. It's a bit big for summer time. The barrel digs in as I like to appendix carry. So I stopped by H & H last weekend and looked at them....Today I went back and purchased the sub-compact .40 and then put 100 rounds through it. It was great!! It shot smoothly right out of the case. I had good center mass on the Smurf and the extra kick of the .40 seemed to even me out as I tend to anticipate the recoil. My color choice was limited to OD green or tan polymer, so I selected the green. I already have an all black Ruger 9mm, a dual tone Bersa .380, an all black XD .45, so the color was cool. I have a Crossbreed holster on order that should work for both Springfield XDs, so I think I am finally set. I wasn't a big fan of Springfield's at first due to the safety set ups, but now I find that I prefer them. So now if I get hosed by Jr., I'll still have a good Mother's Day... ONB PS - if anyone would be interested in a Bersa .380 for $200, give me a shout (PM). |
