Gun Momma
Hello,

I am a new shooter. My husband has been shooting forever and has now enticed me to the dark side with the fun of steel. He and I have started organizing Steel Challenge shoots once a month and go practice shooting for a couple of hours a week (while our 22 month old daughter visits grandma and grandpa for some good quality time). I currently have a Ruger 22/45 MkIII. I am planning to purchase a XD in the near future and want to learn as much as I can about them. My husband has one and I like the feel of it though I am shooting left handed now. I am right handed but found that left handed shooting is better with me being left eye dominant.

By day, I am a childcare provider and by night I amuse my bewildered and VERY happy hubby by browsing gun boards and shopping for my someday gun… LOL!

Being a lefty myself I find the XD is one of the most lefty-friendly guns out there.

And I chase around my 24 month old son all day! Usually shooting once a week during nap times.... Ah, the joys of having a range outside your back door.
