New From NH
Hey everyone,
Just saying hi! Picked up my first springfield last week. XD-9 with earth frame. Looking forward to shooting it soon. Have had misc rifles, Glock's and Ruger Single Six(love it!). Held a XD at the local gun shop and was hooked as soon as I picked it up. Seems well balanced and fit's my raise to aim very well. In other words, very little sight adjustment after bringing it into view. That was the one gripe I had about my Glock(great gun otherwise). I know it has been said over and over, that they fit some and not others. The Xd just feel much more natural and a better fit to me. Funy when I was looking at it. The guy at the store said to me " what is the deal with all of the Glock owners comming in to look at the Xd's. Said I was like the 4th or 5th to do so that day! LOL! Gonna try it at the range and if neccisary, look into optional sights if I can not deal with the non elevational adjusting rear sight. Want to look for a decent IWB holster as well. Anyways, I can see why a lot of you seem to like them as this is about as excited about a new firearm I have ever been. I have high expectations! ![]() ![]()

Welcome from Michigan.
In my opinion, the dark earth XD's are the nicest looking pistols they make. My next XD will be that color.
