New Guy From Maryland
Hello Everyone! Wanted to say hello and ask for some opinion/knowledge. I am in my mid 20's and looking to purchase my first 9mm. I am looking for quality, reliability and affordability for range use. I have recently fired a Sig P226, Glock 17 & 19. Of course, the P226 was amazing but a bit expensive new. Below are some 9mm that seem to meet the qualifications and I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or opinions.
Springfield XD9 Tactical Beretta 92FS Baby Eagle 9915R Glock 19 CZ-75 I can also purchase a pre-owned P226. Thanks in advance for your responses. -Mike |

A few more questions:
Would a pre-owned P226 be just as good one of the new options? Which of the 9mm would be comparable to the P226? The qualities I enjoyed in the P226 were the weight, metal frame and smooth action. IMO the Glock 17 & 19 could not compare (not meant to offend). Thanks again -Mike |

For me the XD9 was the best fit. Welcome from Minnesota!

Welcome from Michigan.
I also think you should try as many as you can before you decide. All of us here are fans of the XD though for a reason. Its great!

Welcome from Indiana. I agree that the best one of the guns you have listed is going to come down to personal preference. The XD's are said to just feel better in your hand to a lot of people. Try them all and you will know which one is for you. Don't let price decide for you, let how well they shoot and fit your hand decide for you.
