Question New Forum Member - New XD Owner

Good morning forum!

I just wanted to introduce myself and say I'm happy that there's a forum for XD owners. I've been looking for a carry weapon for a lttle while. My Beretta 92F is a sweet weapon, but it's too big to carry practically. My choices came down to the Glock 26 and the XD, and obviously I chose the latter. The weapon is very comfortable in my hand; it fits me very well. Both are very good weapons, but I think I'm going to be quite satisfied with the XD.

Does anyone else have any comparison information or experience to share. I'd be interested to know what others think. I live in Georgia and have a firearms license. I bought the carry package but would also like to hear any advice on holsters, both concealed and open carry.

Welcome from Mexizona.

For IWB holsters, I'd look at Crossbreed and Highnoon.

Welcome from Seattle.

I just got my XD9SC. I have a CrossBreed SuperTuck and a Bianchi Ankle rig on order. The ankle is for when I am driving a lot or when I will need to take the weapon off without much hassle (work). There are tons of options, but the crossbreeds seem to get a bunch of support from the crowd here.

The past week I have been using the holster that comes with the XD or a Mike's IWB. I have been able to carry concealed with both.

Welcome from WV

I'd have to vote crossbreed on the holster

Welcome from Ohio. I carry an XD9SC in a CrossBreed SuperTuck. It works well for me.
