Hello,
I have been reading this board over the past few months and I finally purchased my XD9SC a couple days ago. Added the pearce mag extension when I bought it. It is my first gun. The first day I ran about 60 rounds through it and loved every squeeze of that trigger! I have a Bianchi Triad ankle rig (for commuting) and crossbread supertuck on order. Double-Tap +P 124gr Gold Dots in the mag for carry. One question - I have Tetra Gun light cleaner and lube in a spray can. I feild stripped and wiped everything down, but it didn't seem like there was much lube value in the spray. Should I use something more? Thanks Jon |

I just picked some cleaner up over here on the east side. I hate it. I'm going back to using Rem oil in a can, Hopps is good to. I don't like the pressure(Too much), good for my AR though. I like Rem oil cause I usually wipe most of it away then put on the GunButter or Slide Glide. That cleaner is just a solvent and dries up and leaves that white residue. And I like to leave a small amount of oil on the slide. IMO those are the best lubes on the market.
Oh and Welcome from the East Side!!!!

Thanks for the feedback. I'll grab some of the gun butter today.
Also, I noticed that some of the black finish has worn on the breach? area. It is on the part that covers the ejection port when the slide is closed. Thanks |
