Hello from NJ
Just wanted to say Hello. Been lurking for weeks, I am about to recive my permit and am considering to buy a 4" service xd-40 due to this site.

That's interesting, everything I've heard about getting a permit in New Jersey sounds like it requires an act of God.

Gotta know people also, I just can't say where I work right now. But to give you an idea it is a department. So it probally helps.

That does help. My cousin is an LEO in New Jersey so that helps.
