Hello from Maryland

Hi Everyone. I've been lurking for a while, and bought my first handgun about a month ago - XD9 service in black. Over 1000 rds so far, and no problems.

Thanks to all here who share their knowledge and experiences with others. I've learned a lot following this site, which ultimately led me to go with the XD.

Welcome to the forum from UT! 1000+ in a month is impressive, but it is also a joy to shoot.

I don't plan on maintaining that pace.... it's been an expensive month. I just have had a hard time putting it down.

Wecome Maryland

Wow! surprise to hear from Maryland. An extremely hard state to carry a handgun. Usually only former Police Officers are permitted to carry without restrictions. Otherwise approx. 99% are turned down. and they call themselves a carry state. I know I lived there for 55 yrs.

I now live in Central Florida. Not the best crime rate in the nation, but they do respect the constitution for its citizens that wish to carry.

I am also a new member to the forum. I hope we learn from each and all on the forum. My most recent purchases are Kimber CDP II .45 and Springfield EMP 9 mm.

Don't see anywhere that he said he carried it...

I used to live in Salisbury...

Anyway, welcome from PA, a free state.

I'm kind of new to this forum myself, but welcome all the same.

Welcome from Tennessee...

however...

Born in Silver Spring, grew up in Rockville.

Parents grew up in Frederick. Grandparents still in Gaithersburg.

By definition, not from Tennessee...but got here as fast as I could!!!

Welcome.
