Hello from ND
Morning from frigid North Dakota!
Just recently put a new XD9sc on layaway at my local gun dealer for my future CCW. I'm very impressed with the XD line in general, and I look forward to "pick'n the brains" of fellow forum members for options and advice on my new weapon. I'm familiar with various other gun sites and have found these forums to be fantastic when it comes to needing/offering/getting info and advice. Some FYI: Both my wife and myself are "newbies" to handguns (me.. maybe not so much anymore), but are both very familiar with rifles thru our past involvement w/hunting with her family. And I'm currently exploring competing in local IPSC matches. (got all the gear for my Beretta in the prod. class and checked out a match yesterday) We inherited the Ruger last Oct. with the purchase of the Beretta & Bersa closely following. (I'm told I'm addicted now???) I hold my CCW permit and the wifey is currently working towards hers. We're both very active members of our local range with shooting at least once a week (1+ for me), and our youngest is involved in the youth shooting program on weekends and having alot of fun. Believe it or not, this all started out as an activity both the wife and I could be involved with together to spend quality time. We call our Friday night at the range our "date night" and it's worked out fantastic. Ahhh.....coffee good today. Why? Cause it's really cold outside today!
