Hello from St. Pete, Florida
I'm Josh and I just got out of the Marine Corps and moved to St. Petersburg, Florida. The area isn't one I'd let my grandma live in, so I decided to get a weapon of my own and I came out of the gun shop with a receipt for a Springfield XD .45 ACP Service.
That was a long, long three days of waiting. I'm totally new to handguns, but I've done enough research and have enough background to safely operate it. When I have any questions, you can bet your Beretta I'll come to XDTalk to get a hand from you guys -- I've been lurking for a day or so and you people are genuinely the calmest, most informative forum I've seen on the Internet. Growing up in St. Pete, I know where ur comming from. Just do go to the southside and you will live....that 45 will do you no good down there.

Welcome. I lived many years in St. Pete. Some areas are very nice and others suck. I used to live near Shore Acres in St. Pete. It was quite nice.
