Texas native new to XD and Handguns
hello yall

Just introducing myself, I am a native Texan from the DFW area and love to hunt and shoot my favorite rifles but have never really been into handguns or ever owned one. My wife bought me an XD40 service (actually I bought it with my money) for christmas and have taken it out a few times and love it. Def different than shooting rifles.

I came to the conclusion I needed a handgun after getting married for home self defense reasons and also during one hog hunting trip late last year I had a very scary incident late at night with a hog that I wish I had a handgun with me at the time.

Lets just say the XD has already come in handy during 2 hog hunting trips I took last month. My Dad has also played with my XD40 and is going to purchase a XD9 subcompact (glock convert!) here in the next few weeks. We are planning on taking the CHL class next month together so that should be fun..

Well I look forward to spending time on these forums and chatting up with the rest of you guys and gals.

I have been in a pretty bad mood lately as my XD has been in the shop for about a week waiting on trijicons to be installed and as soon as I get it back I have about 500 rounds sitting in my range bag waiting to be fired off.. ohh well...
