New XD 9 owner in KCMO
Hi everyone, I got a new XD 9 that I bought through Gunbroker and I enjoy having it already!!! Even though I haven't fired my handgun yet!!! Actually, I bought the 40 cal version but the seller sent me this 9mm model instead. I was thinking about shipping it back but I am thinking about keeping it now. Well, i posted a possible trade on the Trading Post but I am leaning towards keeping it now. Maybe someone can help me out by convincing me that it will suffice as a personal/home defense handgun!!! ( for now at least)

Dont worry, if you want to keep the 9 instead of the 40 you will be ok. Good hollow points and well placed shots and you will be fine. Not to mention cheaper ammo prices than the 40 or 45.

Welcome from AZ, I would flip if someone sent me a complete different pistol! But a 9 is sufficient for home defense with practice (no 45 but sufficient)! The ammo is way cheaper! I plan on buying a 9 later for range shooting!

Hello from California. I also purchased an SA-XD9 and just went to the range with it today. 500 rounds of various factory loads without a hiccup.
