be careful asking how to make your XD look good i just posted pics of my XD after "sinfully" polishing the barrel and man a bunch of the guys got PISSED that i would ever do such a stupid thing I'm actually kinda embarrased to even post for fear of ridicule now It too is my first XD and i love the gun and take great care of it

Do what you want to do and post pics whenever you feel like it. Ask any questions you want. That's what this forum is for. No need to fear ridicule. Everyone has an opinion, testosterone runs high here. IMO, it's a really good group of people and most are ready to offer useful input and help whenever possible.

I believe It is a tactical... 4 inch barrel... How accurate are they...

Welcome from North Carolina!

The 4" is the Service model - not the Tactical.

I have the Service model in both .45 ACP and 9mm and am very happy with both of them. The .45 is my usual carry gun.
