Denver, CO

I just bought my XD .45 acp compact to carry. I really enjoy shooting it, and I am thinking about a few upgrades starting with the big dot tritium sight. I live out by the big airport here in Denver, CO , and I shoot at the firing line. I am looking for an outdoor range that might make shooting a little cheaper (and not as sterilized as an indoor range). I have a front sight certificate (from ebay $100.00) and plan on attending the 4-day defensive pistol course in March)

After just a few hundred rounds in the last two weeks I find myself with two concerns. I need more ammo, and I want another XD.

So, hello everyone, I have learned a lot from this forum. It is one of the reasons that I chose to buy the XD.45. I'm glad to be a part of it.

Welcome from a proud owner of an XD 45 Service in Colorado Springs.

Please share more details about the Front Sight 'certificate' you purchased on eBay. Are you saying that it is only going to cost you $100 (not including travel expenses) to attend the 4 day course?

Yep pretty much...

Everyone who becomes a member gets a certain number of certificates to give to friends. The certificates are good for a number of different courses. Some guy is selling them on Ebay (his id is wldcat--or something). My shooting instructor bought one and used it. He recommended I do the same thing. after a little research I bought one immediately. The course I am going to take is normally $2000.00 for four days of class and range time-I'm paying $100. They do this believing that I will join upon attending, and I probably will. Additional expenses will include 1000rounds of ammo (min), meals & lodging, and the twelve hour drive (each way).

So to answer your question it'll cost $100.00 dollars plus ammo (about $350) to attend the course. That's not including travel.
