Hello from Nor-Cal!
Hey guys and gals. I just found this forum today, 1 day after shooting my new XD40 for the first time. This is my first handgun purchase, recommended by many others on other fourms that I frequent not to mention how good an XD feels in my hand!

Welcome to the forum. Glad to see a fellow resident. Be careful though, they don't much care for Califirnia politics here.

You'll find a lot of information here as well as opinions. It'll take some time but you'll be able to parse out the good information from the bad. Opinions are nothing more than that.

Funny you said that. My first time out with it to the range I only took 1 box, 50 rounds. That was a big mistake! Paid $20 at the range for another box just so I could stay longer. Oh well, lesson learned
