Thumbs up New Guy in Wisconsin

Just bought my XD 45ACP 4". Love it! I am just getting back into shooting after a long time. This XD is the most comfortable pistol that I've ever owned. I want to try bowling pin shoots and practical shooting competitions.

New xd fan

I to am a newbie to the XD45. I have never held a weapon in my hands that felt WARM and comfortable. I bought my 45 at the same time my daughter bought her XD9. she is Air Force and a father wanted to make sure she was safe. she tried 5 different 9's , berretta, sig,s&w,glock, and XD and never looked back. I don't think I would want to be on the other end of her with her XD. as for me, a vet and avid shooter of the long gun, the XD is just an NEW old friend. never have I held such a fine, warm, friendly weapon before. now I have to get over the nervousness of meeting new people and not embarrasse myself. I am trying to get the 20th off and come to shultz rod and gun club for tips!, hints, and to see if I am any good.
