New Member, not an XD Owner (Yet)
I just wanted to introduce myself, I've been lurking these forums for a little while now. I'm about to purchase my first handgun, and after firing several XD's, I'm sure that's what I'm getting. I'm hopefully getting a black 4" .40 S&W model in a few weeks.

What kind of price ranges should I expect? I can't really seem to find anything consistent. I'm expecting around $500.

Just a little background, I've been around firearms all my life, and I'm a Marine certified to supervise rifle, pistol, and machine gun ranges (both qualification courses and combat-related training). I have owned a few rifles and shotguns before, but sold them all over the course of the last few years.

From what I've seen so far, this is a great forum! Thank you for having me.

Welcome to the forum. Prices vary depending on the market, but $500 should do it. Around here that would be a little high.

Around here (N.Texas) the sporting gun stores all advertise what you want for $499. I bought the same gun at a gun show for $430 so it will pay to shop around a little
