Hello From North Bamania
Hey Y'all,
I am technically not an XD-owner yet. Just ordered my first from a GunBroker dealer on Tuesday. And, technically again, since I bought that one for my wife for her b'day, I still won't be an XD-owner after it gets here, but I certainly am an XD-admirer! I got her the XD-40 4". I wanted to get her the sub compact, but couldn't pass up the deal on the Service model. $399.99 + 25$ shipping + $20 FFL transfer, and it works out to exactly the same price I would've started at by buying it around here. My tentative plan is to sell my S&W 4563TSW, go find the sub compact at a decent price, and trade the 4" for the SC with my wife. In the meantime, she can get familiar with shooting it and taking care of it. Sound like a plan? I'd like to hear from the women around here about what they think is the best and most comfortable way to carry their XD's. My wife is an accomplished shooter, but she's never concealed carried before. I'm afraid that if I can't find a comfortable way for her to carry, she just won't. Anyhow, hello from Madison, AL. Look forward to gettin' to know y'all. Blues |

Welcome to the group and the XD family. I would first recommend that you get a good holster for the XD and give it a chance. See how it feels to your wife and yourself. I carry a XD 40 4" quite a bit of the time and my girlfriend also wears it from time to time. That also gives me time to carry my Kimber 45. Congrats on your purchase anyhow.
