Checking in from Delaware

Greetings, folks...

Rob from Delaware here -- to hear my story about handling my first SA XD-9, check HERE. Long story short, I'm currently the owner of a S&W Sigma with a 10-12lbs trigger pull and, after trying out my buddies XD Service pistol, my shots went from being scattered to the lower left to four consecutive dead-on bullseyes.

I'm wanting one.

So, I live in Delaware... I work at a higher educational institution doing PHP web and MySQL database development. I've been playing traditional Irish music for several years and teach a couple of Computer Science courses at the college as well.

I've been able to appropriate about $250 towards the $475 or so I need for my XD already, so hopefully I'll be able to post on here soon with more of an authority to speak on the weapon.

An "official" welcome from a fellow Delawarean: Welcome!!!

It was really nice of your friend to let you shoot his XD-9 service model.

And it sounds like you did VERY well with the XD your first time handling/shooting one. I wish I could have been there to see it..... no, wait....

LOL. I'm glad you liked it so much that you want one now! My work here is done... bwwahahaha!!!!

Welcome to the forum, buddy!

Hah! Too true!

So, if all goes well, I think I'll place my order this Friday -- we'll have to see... I have the conclusion of my Firearms class on Sunday, so after that, I can set up an auction for my Sigma. I figure it should go for a fair price if I bundle it with the SERPA and the Fobus kydex holster.
