Talking Extra Extra Read all about it: New Sig convert
So here is the story. I am a long time Sig fan. I own several and shoot them well. One of the guys I shoot IDPA with mentioned that someone he shoots with borrowed his wife's XD to show off to the guys. Well the gentleman decided to shoot the match with his wife's XD and clobbered his competition. This guy let my friend try it. My friend bested his own score. Needless to say they both went after the match to purchase new XDs. So fast forward one week to the next IDPA practice. I was there asking the guys about there new XDs. I had been eye balling a XD compact in .45 (yes I have to specify because SA is working on a .40 version to be released soon) and hadn't shot one yet. The guys lined up to stuff my holster with several variants of the XD. Needless to say after I shot this thing I went after practice and ordered the XD compact. I'm also currently trying to persuade my wife to let me buy her a full size to help "fill the gap" until mine arrives. I love the feel of this pistol but I can't find a compact in stock anywhere around me unless I want to take out a second mortgage.

You found it .......but not in the traditional sense. Unlike other support groups for other addictions, most of us will encourage you to "fall off the wagon" and buy whatever you can. My first pistol was a Sig (a 229). Great guns.....but I can shoot my XD's better Welcome to the boards.
