Greetings gun slingers :)

Hi,

I'm new to the forum and to handguns. I grew up around shotguns, muzzle loaders, and hunting rifles but never had much interest in them back then.

Fast forward to today and I'm now the proud owner of the a Tactical XD .45 pistol. I just bought it about three weeks ago and have only had time to put about 300 rounds through it but it is a very nice hand gun. I love it!

I tried a Glock 22 .40 cal, a P226 Sig 9mm, and a few others like a Walther .380 and an older H&K 9mm. Honestly, I liked them all but the way the XD fit my hand and how it felt really got me so I got it. Ironically, the one I fell for at the shop was an XD 9mm service but the guy sold me an XD .45 Tactical. I didn't realize it until I got home...yeah I know. Anyway, I decided to just keep it as really like it and I think I may pick up an XD sub-compact 9mm later this fall.

I'll try to get my pics ups later so ya'll can take a peek at my new pet

Anyone else here have a 5" XD .45? If so, what's your experience been with yours...mines been good so far...other than ammo is a pricey in comparison to a 9mm and other calibers.

Pics...

Here's some pics of my XD. The pics are not that great as my digital camera is rotten but at least this offers a glimpse.

Hi there,

I'm in B'ham.

It's been quite a while since I've been to Huntsville. I used to go all the time years ago when I was in high school as I was living in Cullman at that time and it was a shorter drive. I would say it has been 10 years or so since I was last there...pretty long while.
