Hey Matt, Welcome. I have nothing against Glocks either, I just found the look and the ergonomics of the XD more to my liking. You also have to worry less about slide bite with these wonderful XD's than that of the Glock. It was rare but on occasion it can happen, hehe.

Sounds like you got some other nice toys as well. I'm envious of you Taurus. I can't have one until I leave California soon, but those things have really caught my eye. I don't know if I want the 9 or the 45, but I'm certainly purchasing one of them. Those ribber grips look nice!

Like I said, the glock was great, but it just did not fit. The Taurus is real smooth and the grips are excellant. 17+1 is real handy also.

Welcome! ur gonna love the .45. i shot the Tactical version today along the 9mm Service and the recoil wasnt much different.

as much as i wanted the XD45 Tactical the high priced ammo swayed me away for the moment haha

Hey Matt,

I too own a Taurus PT 24/7 Pro and like the way it feels; although mine is a .45, so it doesn't have the nice rubber on the grip like yours.

When it came time for me to choose my next handgun I almost went for the Glock 20, because I wanted to try out a 10mm gun. I didn't like the Glock's ergonomics and ended up choosing the XD .45 instead. That choice saved me some cash too. No opinion on my XD yet, as I can't pick it up until tomorrow. I can't freakin wait though.

Happy shooting!

Thanks guys,

Just put 200 rounds of Wally World 230 gr. hardball through her. I really love the ergos, trigger, and not to mention, the grip angle, if that makes sense. Funny ,the first 30 or so seemed to go left a tad. After I was through the first 100, she was dead on. I think it was more me getting used to the gun and trigger pull more than anything else. I had a great time - she is a keeper for sure. Verrrrrrrrry nice indeed!

Matt

PS. put around 20 rounds of con-bor +p through it also, just for grins.
