So far everyone I've taken out shooting to the range have all purchased an XD shortly after shooting mine. Some of these people have had HUGE gun collections and was just missing a good ol' XD, others were completely new to shooting as that was the first time they ever pulled the trigger. Both parties involved went out and purchased an XD. That should really say something.

I'm old school. I bought my XD40 when they didn't come with the melonite finish or all the cool XD gear that they come with now. I got gipped!! haha. I did send it back to Springfield though and got that finish put on for free. It makes a heck of a lot of difference.

I thought I heard you say you were reloading your brass for the XD. Be careful, the XD is picky about reloads which is why I won't even shoot them. I have a youtube video of my XD jamming up on a bunch of reloads I bought at a gun show. Tread carefully on that stuff.
