The new guy from MN

Hello everyone, I have been reading for a few weeks now and finaly decided to register. As of right now I don't own any handguns, but I have decided to get an XD45c, the only thing I have yet to decide on is 4" or a 5" barrel. Right now I don't have my ccw but I plan on geting it.

welcome, welcome!

glad to hear you're getting your CC permit, stay safe with it and you'll be another good example of why the Brady Campaign is slightly flawed in logic.

Greetings and welcome from the Center of the Nation!

It is personal preference, I alway like a longer barrel.

I thought it is pretty hard to get a ccw in MN.

I have the Service XD .45 - very good weapon. Fired the Tactical and it was also a very nice weapon. The extra 1" would help if you are planning on shooting comp and at 25 yds. I shot the same with both at 25 yds and liked the weight of the Service. Shoot both and see which is better for you.

Welcome to the forum from UT. I would recommend the 5 inch if you can find one in the compact frame. I carry the XD45 Service and it is the grip that is hard to conceal, not the barrel.
