Traded in my M&P Compact for an XD-9SC!

Howdy! I'm a new member on this forum and just got my first XD pistol.

Yes, I just traded in my lemon S&W M&P 40 Compact for my first XD... an XD-9 subcompact! I haven't shot it yet, but amazingly enough the XD holds magazines firmly, with a good magazine to mag well dimensional fit, and therefore I don't expect magazines to pop out from it when I fire it, like with my M&P consistently did. I'm impressed with the overall quality of workmanship of the XD, and by its beefy design.

While the XD is slightly thicker than the M&P, it still feels at least as comfy to grip as the M&P did. I have meaty hands and suffered from serious slide bite from the Glocks I used to own, so I really appreciate the extra room directly under the slide on the back of the grip on the XD. It's an excellent ergonomic design sure to eliminate any possibility of slide bite.

I'm taking her out for our first shoot on Sunday, so I'll post my range report after that.
