Hi Guys,
I bought a compact XD 45 ACP on Tuesday and fired it yesterday. Great pistol! I bought it solely for the purpose of using it for IDPA in November once highpower season is over. I have a CCW, so this will be my "pack heat" toy as well. I shoot service rifle competitively (Master Classification), but I am really excited about starting a new discipline. I've been watching IDPA on youtube and it looks like a lot of fun!! Anyway, I'm hoping I made the right choice. Last edited by NorwichGrad : 08-09-2007 at 10:55 AM. |

Slugger,
Thanks for offering your help. I have a question, though. I bought my XD brand new and it came with the belt holster. Is that legal for IDPA? The reason I ask is that I read the IDPA rule book today and to my understanding, the only holsters allowed the inside the waistband, pancake, bruce nelson/askins and pouch style. The factory holster I got exposes the first two inches of the muzzle, but it fully covers the trigger of the firearm. It has no adjustable cant and it carries the firearm in a neutral vertical position. thanks. |

Welocme to the forum from the Land of Lincoln. Good questions on IDPA. I will be interested in the answers.
