I have recently decided to upgrade to a xd 45 and I have been scouring the net and local shops for the perfect deal. I thought my search was over I found a OD green frame and slide on a website but for some reason did not grab it while I had the chance and I have yet to find another. Was this a one off deal or is there a production green on green service model or tactical 45? I searched the site and could not find any info on this so if you know or can point me somewhere I'm happy to read it. Thank you in advance.

First off, Hello from fellow Floridian and a soon-to-be owner of a 45c.

Are you saying the slide was also OD green? If so, then perhaps the fram and slide may have been custom durakoted or cerakoted by the previous owner.

In terms of production, OD Green models are available direct from Springfield and are not a 'one-off' thing, although the slide is melonite-coated black.

Welcome from the Alamo City. I got a XD40 Tactical in OD green frame. I'm thinking about changing the color on it.

Thank you all for the welcome, I Will enjoy this being one of my new homes. I have made my purchase. I picked up a black tact. with gear and 3 mags for 425.00 used. I hope I got a good deal I was in a jewelry store by my office at the recommendation of a co worker shopping for an engagement ring. To my surprise they also had a nice selection of firearms, I knew the previous owner by chance, so knowing the history and his meticulous care, I couldn't pass it up. So I have a lot of reading and hopefully few questions. But thank you all again.
