New XD40sc Owner in AZ

hello all. i just got my .40 sub compact about 2 weeks ago, i took it to the range last week and put 200 rounds through it and everything worked great. i got one failure to eject, but that was it. i took it again this morning and put another 100 rounds through and im getting used to the recoil using different hand positioning techniques and thats helped to reduce the wear and tear on my hand. but the one thing i cannot fix is the trigger. being as it has ridges in it, everytime i fire the recoil caused some nasty rubbing on the inside of my finger. is there anywhere to get a replacement trigger that is smooth? or does anyone else have some suggestions? thank you much!

Currently there is no replacement trigger. However if you are handy with a dremel you can take care of that yourself. If not I think either or both Canyon Creek, Springer Precision. Two highly rated forum sponsors can do that for you. Just google their companies...

Welcome to the forum from Yuma AZ, Wherabouts are you from???

EDIT check your grip, Unless you got sensitive skin you should not be feeling the rub, Go to Springerprecisions site and watch the grip video. And read the Article....Could be the way you are holding the gun

yeah i'm sure it could still be my grip. as i said i'm still adjusting and fine tuning my grip so that it is both comfortable and effective. my grouping has improved dramatically just since last weekend.
anyways, i'm out in east mesa but i shoot at the scottsdale gun club with some friends of mine. thanks for the welcome!

I own the XD40SC also and have learned to deal with the quick recoil, and that is through Hand and grip placement, which consists of hand position and grip, and trigger finger position. ie:
1. A strong grip with the shooting hand
2. Trigger finger placement in the middle if the pad (not at the tip)
3. Strong grip with the non shooting hand

You will find the recoil is 1/3 less, and recovery is also 1/3 better and there should be better accuracy with no more finger scrape on You're trigger finger.

Let me know how You make out.
