XD Noob in Iowa
Hi,
I just purchased my new XD45 4" Compact as a present to myself for my birthday (everyone needs some sort of justification, right?!). I already own a S&W Sigma and a Colt Gov't Gunsite 1911 (the most beautiful hunk of blue steel in the world). I got my XD because a) I need something reliable that I can carry concealed, b) all my friends are getting them and c) it's a pistol, and I can't resist buying those. I go to school at Iowa State University in Ames, but I'm from the Iowa City area, so I'm still a Hawkeye. I plan to attend the U of Iowa for Law School, but first, I will graduate in December and go to officer basic course. I have been in the Army Reserve for over four wonderful years and plan on becoming a career officer. I'm also an Iraq Veteran. Finally, I am a regional coordinator for IowaCarry.org, a group of concerned citizens who share a positive interest in changing Iowa's "99 counties - 99 policies" law to a shall-issue law like many other states have seen success with.
