But then, I'm a Florida boy by birth, and that whole "snow" thing didn't sit well with me anyways
LOL! Man we got dumped on back in October before the leaves fell and it wiped out zillions of trees. It was a mess. The snow is a problem.

Of course, we haven't got any of those flying German roaches here... or those Fire ants out in the yard... or any of those darn cottonmouths/coral snakes/Eastern Diamondback rattlers here... or those big black lizards that live out in the water whose eyes shine back at you when you park your car at night with lights shining over Lake Jessup!! For that matter we don't have any of those darn Florida Crackers here either!! Contrary lot they can be to the sweet Northern Snowbirds!! LOL!

And snow has one nice benefit... it melts and gives us nice big Great Lakes and Grape Lakes full of lovely H20... which that poor Floridian Aquifer is running out of. No watering restrictions in Buffalo!! LOL!

It doesn't stop the shootings or the crime but makes great copy in the press.
Thank Richard J Daley for that. His son is simply carrying on the Family Tradition.

Yeah, but snakes & gators are less deadly than nothern natives who forget how to drive in snow every year... When I moved up there, first time I drove in snow my mom said "Just pretend it's a heavy rain". Drive like you'll hydroplane any moment and you're fine... 'Course, you have to have learned to drive in a Florida downpour to understand that

That's a fact. Another HUGE danger are the FOP's down there in Florida. Give em cars and watch out! The worst place is on the road from Zephyrhills (which grows from 8,000 to 108,000 with every snowbird migration) to Dade City. You come down this big hill at 70 mph and right at the bottom there is a strip mall. The FOP's dart out of there across that road and it is like Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
