I won a Free XD
Hi all, new to the forum for one reason, and it's a good one.
 I won a Springfield XD9tac at a IDPA match!!! I'm very pleased with the pistol so far, although I haven't shot it. I won the whole kit and kaboodle. Comes with all the XD gear (doesn't seem too great, but heck, it's free). It also came with a Dawson front FO sight kit, grip enhancement pieces and a certificate for a complete trigger job by Canyon Creek Custom. I haven't had time to put her through the paces yet. I'm sending her off to Canyon Creek first thing. I'm setting it up to ba a IDPA gun and when it gets back, i'll see if she's a keeper. I'm not a huge fan of the trigger, but it's really not that bad. Much better than I thought it would be. I thought the grip safety would also be an issue but it doesn't seem to bother me as much as it once did. Guess all it took was a free pistol.....lol. Anyway, without further delay, here's a pic of my new baby. Looking forward to learning a bit about the XD's and rubbin' elbows with the XD folk

*whew*, I'm glad someone offered to take it just in case I don't ike it!!
Thanks for the warm welcome. Lucky indeed. Right after I won it, I won a bottle of Militec lube (already have a gallon) and then I figured I'd stop and buy a lotto ticket and won $57 the next day. Luck ran out when I blew a tire though. Still, I don't think I can top that day easily. I did manage to come in second at the match, though. |

Who knows...maybe that tire would have otherwise blown on the freeway at speed or something. Could still be lucky.

Luck may have been a factor on some of the things, but I would say taking 2nd place marksman in an IDPA competition is pure skill!
