Pre XD owner, longtime shooter
I have already posted but wanted to write a few lines to introduce myself:
I fell in love the the XD line when introudced, but longed for a 45ACP version, and springfield answered. I have been contemplating which model XD45 to get and am pretty sure I prefer the compact, but there seems to be more reasons to go with the tactical, praticality mostly. I have been shooting 45ACP in my Gold Cup for years, and have had plenty of mods done to it. I am looking for a no nonsense 45 to share ammo with my Colt and may even want to get into IDPA competition someday. I thank the fine folks here that have already answered some of my questions regarding the XD platform and equipment and look forward to (hopefully) contributing something useful. |

Welcome from Colorado. Some find the XD45 Tactical a little nose heavy. See if you can handle one before you buy it. The compact is a good choice.
