New from Cisco Texas
Having just acquired an XD 45 Compact (4"), I had to sign up to learn more about them. I am a retired Marine, and at this time make my living translating Japanese to English. I translate mostly patents and have translated a number of books on Japanese swords. You can find out more at my web site at http://www.afuresearch.com.
I like the 45 ACP, and all of my guns in this caliber are automatics (semi-autos, really, but you know what I mean). When it comes to wheel guns, I prefer the S&W style over the Colt SSA configuration. I usually have a table at the Abilene gun shows, and sometimes I set up in Austin. I can be easily spotted since I usually wear a Marine Corp Campaign Hat, a reminder of when I was on a rifle and pistol team in Hawaii in the early 60s. |
