AF Officer from New Mexico
Hey all,
Have been in love with guns my whole life, but unable to purchase my own (my wife is not a fan). Just got back from Afghanistan where I toted my Beretta around with me for 6 months. I just feel naked without a gun now. My wife has finally come around and as of mid-month I will be the proud owner of a brand new .45 ACP (most likely tactical). A little more about me. I'm and Air Force Captain (logistics) at Holloman AFB and will at least be in the service for another couple of years. Have two odd career choices I may be pursuing...law enforcement -OR- Hollywood actor (landed a small role in Transformers the Movie...due out 4 Jul 07 and actually have a background in acting). How crazy is that? As a note to anyone out there. NEVER SETTLE. I come from about nothing. Parents had no money. I was practically a thug. Life was flushing me down the toilet. Now I'm a father, a husband, a military officer and am looking at doing what I WANT to do in life now versus what I can or have to do. Set your standards high and make the most of it. The minute you settle...for anything...you kill your dreams. Glad to be a part of the board. Adam |

Welcome to the forum, sentinel! We are glad to have you join us. Many years ago when I was a 1LT (Army) AF fast movers out of Holloman ran war games against our ground units. I remember one of their jets tipped over our mess truck when he came in low and kicked in his afterburners. Everyone but the mess sergeant thought it was quite funny.

Welcome to Holloman! You will like it here, the area is beautiful and there is a shoot about every weekend. I just did a shoot at the Otero range and it was a blast. I have been to a few shoots in Las Cruces also and they are a blast. If you are interested I could always use a shootin partner ( or just someone to split the gas money LoL)
Welcome again. |

Welcome from Utah. My father-in-law was a navigator on C-130 and helped with the evacuation of Saigon. I was looking hard at service in the Air Force or Marines, but eye sight and a bum knee kept me out, so thank you for your service.
