Hello from Northern Utah

Hello,

I have been reading the forum since I bought a 45xd back in December '06. Lots of great information.

I live in Logan UT and visit the Idaho Falls or Acro Idaho often to visit family. Guns always get dragged out and usually fired. I have five little ones and enjoy camping, hiking northern Utah, reloading, and family time.

I have been shooting lever and bolt guns since I was twelve. I am a fairly novice hand gunner with less than 200 round through any handgun before my XD. I had looked at an auto loading handgun 5 years ago and shot a few but just could not hit anything. Then back in December, a co-worker brought a XD 45 Service in and loaned it to another co-worker to test fire. I tagged along for the shoot and when it was my turn, looked down the sights, squeezed the trigger and there was a neat hole right where I had aimed. I squeezed off another round and there was another neat little hole right where I had intended it to be. About a week later I bought one and have been shooting it as much as I can.

Look forward to being a member of this great forum.

Welcome from Colorado. You make a great purchase, what other handguns did you shoot before you made the XD selection?
