Hello
Hello from Northern Nevada!!
I'm the proud daddy of a new XD-9 Subcompact. It was a long decision, but I know I made the right one. I compared it to the Glock 26 and the M&P compact. I chose it mainly because of the grip safety. I've loaded it with 147gr. Remington Golden Sabers and am waiting for my pearce pinky extender and Don Hume Agent 711 Holster. I can't wait to carry this thing! |

Welcome to the forum. Great choice on the pistol although that M&P comact is very nice. Also what made you choose 147 grain Golden sabers? They are not the greatest when it comes to expansion from a short barrel. I think you would be better served with a lighter faster bullet for such a short barrel. If you really want a 147 HP you might want to look at Federal's 147HST. It has shown the best performance in various test media and better performance from shorter barrels.

I had Speer 124gr. in there and with doing some homework found out that
147gr. actually penetrated 2"s more. I didn't want to put in the124 +P Short Barrels because I don't really care for the recoil and haven't seen too many differences between those rounds and Standard. What do you use? |

The 124gr +P is what I use in my 9mm when carrying them. It's about as good as it gets in 9mm.

When I carry my 9mm it is loaded up with Federal 124HST. Regular pressure. No +p needed with the new HST bullet.
