Just a quick hello.. I'm an avid shooter and just picked up my first XD45 and I can't imagine that it will be my last. Other than that I'm an AR addict...

I picked my XD45 "Compact" up from 5280 Armory at the Tanner show. Funny story actually, if you're in the Denver area then you most likely know about Dave's guns... good selection, crap service and prices if you aren't a LEO. Some good guys work there, but most are condesending schmucks that I wouldn't buy a burger from much less anything firearms related. -- Long and short is that they had the best price at the show on the XD45C so I went back over to the 5280 booth, asked Matt if he could help me avoid spending money with the schmucks and he matched the price.

As to where I shoot, well usually south of Pine in the National Forrest during the spring, summer and fall.. not so much anywhere during the winter. We'll venture over to Cherry Creek when we have to do any real sight-ins on a fixed range, but outside of that I don't like giving those guys an ever increasing range fee just to send 30 rounds down range to sight in if I don't have to.

On AR15's: Learn to use your Iron Sights before you go adding all that extra crap on your gun!
