Soon to be XD sub compact owner

I shot an XD 9mm 3" a few weeks ago and fell in love with it. I'm not a big fan of Glocks and I was looking for something ultra reliable yet safe. Unfortunately the rental I shot had a real mushy trigger. My Kel Tec P-32 is rated at around 6lb of pull and this XD definately fell softer than that. The Springfield web site mentioned a 7 to 5.5 trigger pull. Do you need to order a specific trigger pull?

No, stock trigger pull is 5.5# to 7#. Probably based on the actual placement you engage trigger pull. If you pull toward the tip, its around 5.5#, but if you pull more towards the middle of the trigger, its around 7# due to the decreased leverage.

By the way, welcome. I really like my XD9SC as well!
