XD Newbie in VA
Just got my XD 9 Sub-Compact last week! It will replace my Taurus PT111 Millenium Pro 9 as my carry weapon. I rented one at the local range a couple of times, and just had to get my own.
I'm a disabled Army vet from Virginia - found out I had diabetes from my 2nd reenlistment physical in 1984, got a medical discharge in 85. I live in Midlothian with the wife, two teen-aged step-sons and 3 cats.

Thanks for the great welcomes!
Glad to be here. I just got back into shooting after a 13-year hiatus, and I must say that shooting the XD is a true joy - way more fun than the old Army-issue M1911 that I used to qualify with, and I seem to shoot with it much better than the Taurus PT111 that I bought a couple of months ago. I'm going to get started in IDPA soon.

Looks like we are practically neighbors! I still don't own an XD, but its on my short list. I'm looking into getting into IDPA too. Where do you shoot? |
