New XD9 service owner from Ohio
Traded my 1991A1 full size and a Browning Hi-power clone for a XD-9 today. Put 100 rounds through it at the range. I did pretty good for the first time out. I really liked the trigger pull, and feel of the pistol, very similar to my 1911s.
I carried it around the house this lastnight in a cheap IWB holster. A bit liter then my 1911 Officers model. But the grip is longer. still concels pretty well. Not getting poked by the thumb safety and the hammer is nice. I think my 1911 OM will still see a lot of use though. Simply becasue it does conceal a bit better. If the gun shop I went to had the XD Sub compact I think I would have gone with that instead. But over all I'm happy with my trade. Last edited by Whirlwind06 : 09-16-2006 at 08:30 PM. |

Welcome to the forums and good choice.
I used to own the 9mm service model but it was stolen from me. I now own the 9mm Sub Compact.
