Everyone needs a XD .45. I'm glad to see you joining the ranks, and welcome to the forum. May you be blessed with trigger finger bliss the remainder of your days.

Welcome Belleville, MI. I work in Ypsilanti and have friends in Belleville. You must be a pretty big guy to carry a 1911 .45 around. That was all I had when I first got my CPL and I found it to be too bulky and heavy. Unfortunately, they weren't making XD's at that time so I got a Glock 36 (sub-compact .45). I like it but now that I bought my first XD (Service 9mm) I know I'm going to get a sub-compact model to replace the Glock. You're right, you do NEED an XD in .45.
