New XD-40 Owner in Las Vegas

Had an itch for a new pistol and after some extensive research (which included this site) and some test firing. I settled on the XD-40 Service. I have never been happier. I have had it a week and already spent $100 dollars on ammo.

Any recommendations on inexpensive ammo that I can buy in bulk?

Try Armscor if you want bulk, they are in NV, or get a Dillon and learn to reload.

Haz..... welcome to the group. I too have the XD40 Service now for about a year, and a very fine piece. I still shoot WWB from Wal-Mart, but prices just keep going up and up; over $2 just this year for the Valu-Pak of .40....

Anyway, cant wait for the new range to open just north of me here... Oh, that wont be until 2008.... hmmm, guess I best not wait for it.

John

Thanks John! I am disappointed with the number of ranges available in the Las Vegas area. Too few and far and all indoors! I prefer the outdoors. I don't mind an indoor range June through August but the rest of the year it is just too nice to be in a dark indoor range.

Haz..... check out Desert Sportsman out on W. Charleston or Boulder City range. You have to be a member at DS but BC is public. You can Google the names and find out more..

I normally indoor shoot at American Shooters, as it is the closest to me here in the North.

Thanks John. I will check it out. I have been to American Shooters in Henderson but they only have 8 lanes I think and one was out of order when I was there so the wait was annoying.

I am not far from Boulder so I will look it up.
